Uiltje Bar

One of my favourite breweries in The Netherlands is Het Uiltje or as they renamed it to sound more international Uiltje Brewing Company. Their logo is a little owl (which got a bit more animated in it's later incarnation) and in 2015 they opened their bar in the city of Haarlem. A beer flight at Brewdog Roma

CLOSED: Brewdog Roma

Brewdog isn't Italian but this Scottish brewery does have bars in several big cities around the world, Rome among them. The location is pretty much perfect, right next to the Colosseum so you can go here before or after a visit to this must-see monument. In my case I had lunch here before going on a tour, eating a big hotdog while trying some of their beers.Read more…

Be.Re

It's time to complete 'the trilogy' of bars by Manuele Colonna in Rome. I'm talking about Be.Re which fits in a niche between his other two places (Bir & Fud and Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fà). There's Roman sandwiches called trappizzino available here and with 21 taps there's plenty of beer to choose from.Read more…

De Gekke Geit

This bar might be the one I visit the most in the city I live in, The Hague. It looks a bit dingy but trust me, if you want any craft beer that was just released in The Netherlands you can get it here, especially if it's a brewery the manager Jaap is a fan of.
